EDSBERG CASTLE

BACKGROUND

The park and the castle had been classified as an important historical site for the municipality of Sollentuna. The mission from the politicians was to create a natural hub of recreation and a place that could contribute to the understanding of the Sollentuna history.

STRATEGY / CONCEPT

On the large open space outside the exhibition halls, we presented an concept of an outdoor exhibition. The idea was to activate the large square outside the exhibition hall and create an exhibition open to visitors all year long where the visitors could get a deeper understanding of how the story of Sollentuna, Edsbergs Castle and the Swedish history are connected.

RESULT

The ambition to make the park and history come alive has been widely appreciated and has become a tourist attraction.
